Speaking of improprieties in Burbank’ s Section 8 rent subsidy program, we were once mentioned in ‘Ad Week’ for successfully nailing the Burbank Leader

For real:

That was a sleazy stunt, the city stealing over a million dollars from the much-needed Section 8 subsidy fund. Burbank still has that same chickenshit element in force. That’s why we never run out of material.

As to the homeless, the only people who are going to help them is BTAC. They should get the money, not local landlords offering useless “inducements.”

BTAC is not doing much for the homeless, They have cut down their services to 2 days a week, they can no longer receive mail at the facility and I’m not sure if the showering has also, been cut off….

      Wow. Is that true?

There’s no reason for this change BUT anti-homeless politics. An outrage.

So what happened? Well-connected types in town complaining about BTAC being a magnet for the poor? Two days a week is meaningless — and certainly not due to lack of funds.

Semichorus you forget an important fact. The poor in Burbank are so cared about by our council and our overpaid staff. Cared for because so long as the poor grow and are kept poor the more profits there are for council and their overpaid friends and developers. The poor are a great source of money to rip off for themselves and these half baked ideas.
