Burbank council candidates have nothing to say

After reviewing the candidate forum that was just held as well as the recent Leader article on the subject, a couple of quick questions arise-

– Is there a consistent point of view in the bunch? Pro-growth, slo-growth, anti-growth, anything substantive?

– What specific goals does each candidate want to attain? Not platitudes, but specifics.

– Given the lack of specifics, why in the world are they interested in being on the city council in the first place? They get a thrill just managing?

– Why can’t any of them come up with a decent defining slogan? Honesty and Integrity, Slo-Growth, Let’s Give Away the Store, anything?

Pay attention Semichorus, several of them do have slogans if you look at their printed materials and since you wrote about it before I will remind you Kinstantine pledges modern 21sr century rent control that makes leases illegal as a rent control protection.

This guy seems to think that Gordon, Guillen and Sousa will slow down the growth. I’m not 100% sure that will be the case, however if Jess and Bob get back in it’s guaranteed!

Beware of Springer. Her ice cream cone signs remind me of the warning to kids, don’t accept candy from strangers.

One of the reasons some of us wish you, mr. semi, would pay more attention to local politics is the STUPIDITY of the followers EDITORS.

Read their last front page declaration of EIGHT SEATS on our City Council.

They cherry pick dribs and drabs, here and there and call them news stories.

The candidate interviews are scatter-gun drivel.

That IGNORANT headline that added THREE SEATS to our election needs at least some explaination.

Lay off the National Stuff for awhile, please.

BTW, since when have YOU of all people embraced the Teacher’s Union and their posturing??????

Let’s make Burbank Great Again. That’ll keep us plenty busy.

C’monn, Semi. Frutos’ revolutionary invention–“The Rock-A-Hula Party”–speaks louder than words! Ditto Jess’ half a million dollar muzak scheme.

God knows nothing can explain Dr. No to me. I have no clue what he is accomplishing on the council.

You, friend-o, are asleep the wheel–per the Cuso-Luddy-Fruto-Rogers cabal, the nefarious Dr Gordon is “the Socialist Ringleader who has stolen YOUR rights [through zoning!]”
Blast him to perdition for this ghastly powerplay!!
