Spoken like a true wife beater.

  2. Get over it

Get over it people. Hillary was a crook for years, and her elite supporters were also part of the problems we face now as a nation. For those of you who will not let it go realize that Hillary was in alignment with and being funded by those countries and groups who want to take all rights from everyone. You have in fact been saved from Sharia Lawe, which hates you.

You’re a liar. Crazy in fact. How do your brains not explode? If you’re even for real, which is doubtful.

“Elite” nowadays must equal competent and educated, because the Republicans now are all total fuckups.

Did you see President Trump’s weekly address from last week ? Imagine that, a president that negotiates into the terms that everything must be manufactured here in America, with gasp union jobs ? American steel nd American workers how horrible that sounds. This is just so unimaginable and after Hilary promised to put union coal miners out of work, the horrors of it all.

        • semichorus

She wanted better jobs for coal miners.

You want to be one? Why then force them to be?

Trump said nothing about “union jobs.” And next time you buy an imported good, let us all know.

          • Jeff

He did say American jobs. The new cintracts require steel and everything must be made in the USA.

          • Anonymous

No one is forcing anyone to be a coal miner so why are you and Hilary intent on fircing them not to be coal miners ? You and she know whats best for everyone eh ?

            • semichorus

This used to be the kind of country where coal miners wanted better for their children. Apparently not any more, and it shows.

Hillary’s point is that we need to get people into BETTER jobs. Not that they should be unemployed.

Jesus. The stupidity and insane credulousness of you people.

TELL THEBURBANK CITY COUNCIL TO HOLD HEARING ON THE MIS USE OF 50,000 IN TAX MONEY DURING THE MEASURE B ELECTION.

    • Sharon

I believe that Luddy thinks she is an elite when in reality she is in over her head.

    • Betty

It is outrageous that this fifty thousand was miisused like this and that most of our city council allows crime like this when it’s their friends. The one who really should be aahsmed is councilman Frutos. He is a cop !!!!

      • semichorus

        It’s not a “crime,” but it’s improper.

No surprise really– this illegal giveaway reflected the will of the council-majority towards the airport.

Whatever works. And now they want to be part of it. How was anyone else to think it was bad?

        • Well, under Penal Code Section 424 it is probably a crime:

“Each officer of this state, or of any county, city, town, or district of this state, and every other person charged with the receipt, safekeeping, transfer, or disbursement of public moneys, who either (1) without authority of law, appropriates the same, or any portion thereof, to his or her own use, or to the use of another; or, (2) loans the same or any portion thereof, makes any profit out of, or uses the same for any purpose not authorized by law . . . [i]s punishable by imprisonment in the state prison for two, three, or four years, and is disqualified from holding any office in this state.”

          • semichorus

Well, there has to be criminal intent, and that might be hard to prove. I’m not sure either if this would be the relevant statute for a campaign violation. It’s more for graft and personal enrichment.

I think the better tack to take is to ask the basic question: why are you guys so cozy now with the Airport? You even want to be part of it now!

            • Joan

Um let’s see we support the measure and we want to be paid commissioners and by the way we do not want to call for a hearing to investigate. Oh there is intent.

          • BURBANK Bill

Mr Spell had this at the last meeting, but I looked today at Fruktose campaign contributions. Lots of real estate cronies donating, and douse Vic Georgino and some other airport comission hacks. Bob is big sell out and he’s gotta go .

        • Doug

It’s a crime and it’s criminal intent to use tax funds to indluence an election so say what you want but to me Frrutos is complicit in a crime as are the other 3.

  4. Burbank Resident

    Let’s have some fun …

    • semichorus

She’s a pro-growther. Not what Burbank needs now.

And not once have I ever heard her clamor for better design or architecture. So to what end is this “change”?

  5. Orchard Drive

I should be surprised I guess by this $50,000 misuse but the sad fact is I am not. I really think that if the city council member majority stopped wasting and misusing our tax money we would not only have a balanced budget but could fix our streets and alleys. Frutos, Luddy and Talamantes have done nothing to make sure our tax dollars are not wasted and I know he is still new but Rogers has done little if anything as well. We will see improvements in Burbank when we clean out this corruption at city hall.
