Put dispensaries on the ballot; and why does Burbank need $2 million a year to protect itself from Marijuana

A couple of points before tonight’s council meeting:

— The staff report on the proposed marijuana tax up for discussion tonight says that Burbank could make $2 million a year in revenue to help protect us from the impact of legalization. In exactly whose mind is this necessary?

— Why doesn’t the council put the issue of dispensaries on the ballot for the people to decide? It would be perfect company to tonight’s proposal.

— If the council wants to ban dispensaries from Burbank (and not allow its residents to make the decision), why don’t they ban or control gun stores?

Guns are ok, but pot’s not?

They did such a great job using the hotel taxes properly that I am sure they will do a great job using the Marijuana tax funds for some election campaign in the future right ?

Why would they want to tax marijuana it is veey place right now and they seem to do ok without taxes from it. Duh I bet the luggage lady and Fruitos like marijuana so long as they can get money from it.
