Just heard from a tipster that the official/unofficial “Our City of Burbank is Just So Wonderful!” Facebook page has allowed some right wing “Prayer to our Police” to remain on their site after a bit of dispute, but quickly removed another prayer that apparently blessed the notion of BlackLivesMatter and peacefulness among men.
Apparently it wasn’t religious enough for them:
Another post/slash was just removed. It was removed because it was attempting to make a political statement under the guise of a prayer of remembrance and well wishes.
Says who? Like an obvious paean to the cops under the garb of religious devotion isn’t political? Talk about that other one pushing a pro-cop agenda. Mark Fuhrman couldn’t have muttered it better. Let us pray, yes.
Guess the idea of “well wishes” only applies to that which you wish well, eh? And which in Burbank means not Black people or the administration of a sense of grace and understanding among the police force — supposedly what the censored prayer was all about.
We haven’t seen it yet, but might print it if we do. Anyone have a copy of that banned prayer?
