A statue of playwright Joseph Priestley close to the scene of the attack became a focal point for tributes in Birstall

You don’t need a statue to know who he is. Or shouldn’t.

We didn’t. It’s frigging’ England and they don’t even know who Joseph Priestley is. (We think they must be confusing him with J.B. Priestley, actually. Which is even worse…)
